Stamped concrete gets you the look of stone, brick, or wood at concrete prices. We do patios, walkways, pool decks, and driveways.

Patterns: Ashlar slate, cobblestone, herringbone brick, wood plank, and random stone. Colors: integral mix-in, surface stains, and accent release. We bring sample boards to the on-site visit so you can see exactly what your pour will look like before we start.

Ashlar slate

Rectangles of varying size with a natural slate texture. The most requested pattern in town because it reads as cut stone without shouting. Works in grays and buff tans, and pairs well with a charcoal accent release.

Cobblestone

Rounded old-street stones set in running rows. Suits front walkways and aprons on traditional homes, usually colored in tans and browns.

Herringbone brick

Classic zigzag brick. The pattern to pick when the house already has brick and you want the flatwork to agree with it.

Wood plank

Stamps that mimic grain and board joints. Popular for patios that want the deck look without the rot, splinters, or restaining.

Random stone

Irregular flagstone shapes with wide joint lines. The most organic look of the five and the most forgiving on curved layouts.

A stamped driveway is poured thicker than a stamped patio because it carries vehicles: 5 inches on the private section instead of 4. At the street it gets stricter. The city requires any stamped apron to be 7 inches thick, a full inch more than plain concrete there, and decorative material in the right of way needs an encroachment agreement filed with the city before the pour. We handle that paperwork as part of the job.

Worth knowing before you commit: an apron takes plowing, road salt, and turning tires, the three hardest things you can do to a decorative surface. We seal stamped aprons on a tighter cycle than backyard work and tell you that up front, because a faded apron is the most visible slab you own. The structural side of the job is the same as any concrete driveway we pour: compacted stone base, proper joints, air-entrained mix.

Sealer is what keeps stamped concrete looking stamped. It locks the color against sun, holds the surface against moisture and deicing salt, and gives the slab its finished sheen. It also wears off, faster in traffic lanes and under drip lines, which is why the schedule is every 2 to 3 years and not once ever.

The job itself is a day: wash, let the slab dry fully, roll two thin coats of acrylic sealer, keep everyone off it overnight. Thin matters. Heavy coats trap moisture and turn white. If your stamped patio has gone chalky or shows white blush, that's usually the old sealer failing rather than the concrete, and it's recoverable.
