Driveway FAQ
How long does a new driveway take?
Most pours happen in a single day. Site prep — tearing out the old slab, grading, setting forms — usually adds another day. From start of work to a usable driveway is typically 3–5 days when you factor in curing time.
Do I need a permit?
Usually yes for full replacements or new pours that touch the public apron. We handle Naperville permitting on the jobs we do — that's part of the quote, not an extra fee. Resurfacing or repair work over an existing slab often doesn't need one.
How thick should my driveway be?
4 inches is standard for residential cars and light trucks. We pour 6 inches if you have heavy vehicles like an RV, contractor truck, or boat trailer. Every driveway we pour is reinforced — wire mesh or rebar depending on the pour spec.
How long before I can park on it?
Walk on it after 24–48 hours. Park on it after 7 days. Full design strength takes 28 days but you can use it normally before then.
